Is There a Finviz App? (No — Here's What to Use on Your Phone)
No. As of September 2026, Finviz has no official app on the Apple App Store or Google Play. Nothing on finviz.com mentions one, there is no mobile version of the site, and independent reviews agree: StockBrokers.com and LiberatedStockTrader both say plainly that Finviz does not have a mobile app.
So if you searched "Finviz app" because you want a stock screener on your phone, you have two options: use finviz.com in your phone's browser, or use a different app that has a screener built in. Both are covered below. (Finradar is one of those apps, and we're not affiliated with Finviz — so weigh our take accordingly.)
Watch out for apps that borrow the name
Because people search for a Finviz app that doesn't exist, the name gets borrowed:
- "finviz" on Google Play is an expense and subscription tracker from a developer called RB Apps Menia. It is not a stock screener and has nothing to do with Finviz.
- "Finvize: stock screener" on Google Play is a third-party screener whose own listing says it is not affiliated with Finviz.
- The top App Store result for "finviz" is Finview: Stock Screener Signal, from a different company entirely.
- Blogs explaining "how to download the Finviz app" are describing an app you won't find in either store. Never enter a Finviz Elite login into an app that claims to be Finviz.
How to use Finviz on your phone
Finviz works in Safari or Chrome, but it sends phones the desktop layout, scaled down. Expect to pinch and zoom, especially on the screener and quote pages.
To make it feel more like an app:
- iPhone: open finviz.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen (Apple's guide).
- Android: open it in Chrome, tap ⋮, then Install and create shortcut → Create shortcut (Google's guide).
What you get on the free version, per finviz.com:
- Stock quotes delayed by 1 minute (NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX); pages auto-refresh every 3 minutes.
- No alerts — stock, price, and screener alerts are an Elite feature.
- Finviz Elite costs $39.50/month or $299.50/year and adds real-time quotes (including pre-market and after-hours), unlimited alerts, and 10-second refresh.
- Note for anyone reading older reviews: Finviz ended backtesting on March 26, 2026, so Elite no longer includes it.
Which Finviz features work on a phone?
People rarely want "Finviz" in the abstract — they want a specific feature of it on their phone. Here is how each one holds up in a mobile browser, and what to use instead when it doesn't:
| Finviz feature | On your phone | Better mobile option |
|---|---|---|
| Screener (finviz.com/screener) | Works, but it's the desktop filter grid scaled down — usable, not pleasant | Stock Analysis (filter grid) or Finradar (AI does the screening) |
| Heat map (finviz.com/map) | Loads and is interactive, but tap targets are tiny and hover tooltips don't translate to touch — full guide | TradingView's mobile app has native stock heatmaps |
| Futures (finviz.com/futures) | The quotes board works in a browser; charts are desktop-sized — full guide | Your broker's app for tradable futures quotes |
| Forex & crypto (finviz.com/forex) | Same story — viewable, desktop layout | Finradar screens forex and crypto and pushes ranked setups |
| News (finviz.com/news) | Actually fine on mobile — it's mostly a text list | — |
| Alerts | Don't exist on free; Elite alerts arrive by email, not push, because there's no app | Any app with real push — Finradar sends setups as notifications |
| Portfolio | Works in a browser with a free Finviz account | Your broker's app already does this |
The pattern: reading Finviz on a phone is tolerable; acting on it — alerts, screening on the go — is where the missing app hurts, and where a native app earns its place.
Native iPhone apps with a real stock screener
If pinch-zooming a desktop screener is not how you want to trade, these are native iPhone apps with a screener inside the app itself (checked September 2026):
| App | Screener in the app | Free to use | Cheapest paid plan | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stock Analysis | Yes — 300+ filters | Yes | Pro $9.99/mo or $79/yr | The closest thing to Finviz-style filter screening on a phone |
| Webull | Yes | Yes | Premium $3.99/mo or $40/yr | Screening and a brokerage account in one app |
| moomoo | Yes | Yes | Optional market-data add-ons | Broker users who want a free screener |
| Seeking Alpha | Yes — stock and ETF screeners | Free download | Premium plans in the app | Fundamental research alongside the screen |
| TipRanks | Yes — a simplified screener | Free download | Premium plans in the app | Screening by analyst ratings |
| Finradar | AI screener that finds setups for you | Yes (delayed data) | $9.99/mo or $79.99/yr for real-time | Having setups found and pushed to you |
Not on the list, and why:
- TradingView has an excellent phone app for charts, but its own help center says the screener is not supported in the iOS and Android apps yet.
- Koyfin's app is free to download, but its in-app screener is still listed as "up next" on its mobile roadmap.
- Stock Rover has no native app; it offers a mobile web version instead.
Where Finradar fits — and where it doesn't
Finradar is not a Finviz clone. You don't build a 60-filter screen; its AI screens stocks, forex, and crypto continuously and pushes ranked setups to your phone, each with an entry zone, stop, targets, and the reason the setup formed.
- If you want Finviz's filter grid in your pocket, Stock Analysis is the closer match.
- If your bottleneck is finding trades rather than filtering them, that is what Finradar is built for. Judge it first on the public P&L calendar, which shows every signal's result, losses included.
- The honest catch: Finradar's free tier runs on delayed data. It is fine for evaluating the signals and for swing ideas, not for scalping. Real-time signals are the paid upgrade.

Quick answers
Is there a Finviz app for iPhone? No. Use finviz.com in Safari, optionally saved to your home screen.
Is there a Finviz app for Android? No. The Google Play listing named "finviz" is an unrelated expense tracker.
Can I see the Finviz heat map on my phone? Yes — finviz.com/map is free and loads in a phone browser, but it's the desktop version scaled down. Expect small tap targets and pinch-zooming.
Can I get Finviz alerts on my phone? Only with Finviz Elite ($39.50/month), and they arrive by email — there are no push notifications because there is no app. Free accounts get no alerts at all.
What's the best Finviz alternative on mobile? For filter-based screening, Stock Analysis. For a screener inside your broker, Webull or moomoo. For AI-found setups with a public track record, Finradar.
